I have spent 18 years as a senior social media marketer, running and leading social channels for major household brands across the UK, Europe and the world.

That includes pioneering work on KitKat's global social channels, leading a global team of social media marketers, running Samsung's UK social media during the London 2012 Olympics, as well as making and publishing thousands of pieces of content to audiences of millions for major brands. As a social media and content marketing specialist, I've been trusted to run the social media for Bose Europe, EE and many others, as well as working on content and strategy for many more brands, always with the same aim: work people actually want to stop and watch, and that generates excitement and engagement.

I've worked in a variety of London ad agencies, including JWT, Digitas, Hugo & Cat, Red Brick Road, Agenda21, AKA and Situation UK, managing content and social media for dozens of clients, as well as working with influencers and celebrities to promote brands.

Client:KitKat (via JWT)

My team and I did some pioneering work on the global social media for KitKat while I was running the team for nearly three years. We did one of the first brand vs brand interactions on Twitter, and were one of the first brands to leverage 'reactive marketing', creating content related to current affairs and topical news. I oversaw the Google Android marketing partnership campaign and grew the brand's following on various social platforms, as well as creating the Instagram account shortly after Instagram launched. One of my favourite brands to work on during my time as Head of Social Media at JWT.

Client:EE (via Digitas)

While leading the social media for EE at Publicis-owned Digitas UK, I was in charge of all the social channels, publishing and content management, as well as creating content with third parties and with my team. I created and delivered content for the EE partnerships with Glastonbury, BAFTA, Samsung, Apple, Red Bull and Fortnite, doing a lot of content work around gaming, film, tech and events.

It was at EE I first partnered with the Holland Brothers, a premium video production company who Tempo now work closely with to deliver bigger budget video campaigns. Below are some examples of the content I created for EE and partners, both solo iPhone and DSLR shoots and pro video team productions. I also shot a lot of drone content as part of my work with EE.

Shortly after leaving his role running EE's social media, Toby was hired to shoot drone video and photography of key EE 5G sites around the UK. He captured drone photography and video of the EE masts as well as the sites. The team were delighted with the results and used the photography and footage for various content and campaigns.
